My 10-year career has intentionally focused on Atlanta’s nonprofit and philanthropic sectors, including roles at Central Atlanta Progress, Coxe Curry & Associates, and now the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, where I manage philanthropic marketing and communications. External communications, events, grant writing, brand management—I’ve done pretty much all of it. By way of leadership development, I was the inaugural Susan B. Hitchcock Executive Development Fellow, an opportunity created by Turknett Leadership Group and Agnes Scott College, and I’m also an alumna of GeorgiaForward’s Young Gamechangers program and Georgia WIN List’s WIN Leadership Academy.
Leading a community program and dialog with my co-chair and collaborator extraordinaire, Jim Auchmutey. Taken at The Wren’s Nest by Reid Laurens, 2026.
Servant leadership is as important to me as my professional and artistic pursuits. I’m currently a board member of the Agnes Scott College Alumnae Association and a volunteer with Ahimsa House, a nonprofit that helps human and animal victims of domestic violence reach safety together. From 2022-2024, I was Board Chair of The Wren’s Nest, a historic author home and museum in Atlanta’s West End, where I worked with staff and board leaders to stabilize and revitalize the organization in the wake of the pandemic. And for many years, you could find me leading guided tours through the historic Oakland Cemetery.
Additionally, I’ve taken on various freelance projects and pro bono opportunities over the years, including writing articles and website content, copy editing academic and marketing materials, and project-based communications consulting. Some highlights:
Mysterious Vintage - writing product clues for a unique, experiential small business
Dr. Rafael Ocasio – copy editing scholarly articles, speeches, and manuscripts, including this one
365 Atlanta Traveler – articles like this
Peach House Farm – crafting website copy for a family-owned flower venture in North Georgia
